SMART Goals
Recently, I've noticed a lot of traffic and visitors coming to my site searching for SMART goals.
SMART is an acronym for goals that are: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-based.
As 2003 ends and 2004 begins, it is a great time to set new goals and plan for the coming year. If you'd like to read more about SMART goals check out the article at: SMART Goals.
And, if you'd like to read about different approaches to goal setting, check out: Right Brain Goals.
Goal setting for each person is a unique process. Using a one size fits all approach to goal setting just doesn't work. So, as 2004 begins, take a moment and think about what has worked for you in the past. What conditions helped you reach your goals? What motivates you? What contributed to your success in the past? A support structure? A mentor? Accountability? Replay your past successes and look for the common themes that have contributed to you reaching your goals.
Once you are clear about the specifics -- you can design goals that will help you create success in 2004.
